greenwater garage is a community built to inspire and encourage an ongoing art practice. Sessions are led by Kristin Allen.

I've been a professional designer for my whole career, and now I teach what I know about drawing and painting to curious, courageous adults all around the world. People from the local area gather in my renovated garage here in Minnesota, USA, while others from everywhere else join via Zoom. This Zoom-in-the Room model allows us to build connection and friendships while improving our creative skills in a supportive, social environment.

My online sessions are held nearly every week - Monday We Paint and Tuesday Night Drawing Club. The sessions are non-linear, so you can join at any time. They are structured as an ongoing practice, so anyone can join - from beginner to experienced - we are always practicing. Inspiration for the upcoming session is emailed to all registrants ahead of time and material lists are posted on my website.

The in-person sessions are held monthly or more frequently - Creative Explorer Series is project based, all materials supplied, built for adults only; Me&My Events are project based, all materials supplied and are built for 1 adult + 1 youth; the Introduction to Drawing and Introduction to Painting sessions are materials supplied and built for adults who want to begin or restart a creative practice.
