Instigate Arts

Instigate Arts CIC is an independent, working class artist-led organisation. Instigate Arts aims to create positive, progressive social change through arts production and participation. We focus specifically on curating, developing and producing exhibitions, events, festivals and programmes that combine the arts, academia and activism with cross-practice/sector/community collaboration. Instigate Arts continuously seeks new collaborations and creative ways of exploring political, progressive and socially relevant issues. We have a particular interest in radical, feminist and queer culture, and in social history, and we often work with archives, experimental creativity, and the digital to find new and innovative ways of connecting issues of the past to contemporary situations and states, and in utilising the arts to promote positive social conversation, debate and change.
