Jaime Howell
Jaime is the Founder and Director of Opening Minds. He is an Open Floor movement teacher and international meditation teacher. Jaime has explored mindfulness and dance with children, young adults and families in a variety of settings from weekend courses to offering month long residential retreats. www.openingminds.co.nz
He is a graduate of a three years school of meditation, who went to spend a further three years as a resident practitioner at the Wangapeka Study and Retreat centre. Jaime has spent months/years in both solo and group meditation retreats. He is a firm beleiver in the need to integrate the so called two worlds of meditation/retreat and ordinary living.
Jaime is a Director of the Rites of Passage Foundation, empowering young people to cross the threshold into healthy vibrant awake communities who care.
He is one of a few males (the only one in the NZ training) qualified to offer Open Floor, a movement based awraeness training focusing on health and emotional wellbeing.
Jaime is the Director of the Immeasurable School of Wisdom and Compassion with his Partner Juliana Griese. This is a three year aspiration to offer non for profit three month meditation/Open Floor retreats for young adults aged 20-35. See www.Immeasurable.co for more info
