Monrovia Duarte Black Alumni Association
ABOUT US:
The Monrovia-Duarte Black Alumni Association (MDBAA) Organization is a non-profit organization and has been in existence since 1992. For over 29 years, MDBAA has focused on the education and advancement of African American youth in the Monrovia and Duarte communities. We sponsor various events throughout the year, providing our youth educational opportunities, community engagement, and college scholarships. In 2022 MDBAA will be celebrating 30 years of service to our community.
PURPOSE:
The purpose of the MDBAA is to establish unity, solidarity, support our peers, be positive role models for our youth, develop scholarship funds for Monrovia and Duarte High School students, and honor our deceased memorial alumni.
GOAL:
Our primary goal is to provide high school students with the most up-to-date information about college decisions. We focus on this by providing information about preparation, cost, college ranking and setting up annual meetings with current college grads and students who share their campus life journey with the high school students.
A Non-profit Organization: All donations are tax-deductible.
