REANNZ

We’re a Crown-owned membership organisation that powers Aotearoa’s research and education network. We provide a National Research and Education Network (NREN) that helps members collaborate and contribute to data-intensive and complex science and research initiatives – both here in New Zealand and across the globe. You’ll find our members in government agencies, Public Research Organisations, wānanga, and tertiary education institutions.

From 1 July 2025, the roles, services and technologies of New Zealand eScience Infrastructure (NeSI) were integrated into REANNZ, centralising New Zealand’s eResearch infrastructure.

Our newly integrated organisation supports Aotearoa New Zealand’s research, education and innovation sectors to deliver quality outcomes by maximising the impact of current investment and achieving greater national reach.
