St Marks Anglican Church (Swanson)
St Marks Anglican Church (Swanson) is part of the Henderson Parish and has been serving the Swanson Community since 1924. This Church is still in service today and is friendly and welcoming. Our desire is to encourage one another in our faith walk & reach out to share the good news of Jesus Christ.
Sunday Services: 9.30-11am (Communion, Preaching, Prayer & Worship - mix of hymns & new worship songs, followed by morning tea on the last Sunday of every month).
Activities: Every Wednesday (3.30-4pm) we have a Children's Story Time for children 5-10 [except School Holidays]. Every Friday (10am-12pm) we have the Selwyn Group for the 65+ (This is a warm & friendly group... starts with light sit down exercises, social over morning followed by games, trips or guest speakers. $3pp). Every 2nd Saturday (monthly): we have Mens & Womens Groups (9-10am with a combined morning tea to follow). On alternate months, we have Bible Studies on Wednesday Mornings (10.15am-12noon) & Thursdays Evenings (7.15-9pm). We offer the Alpha Course at least once a year (please phone if interested).
The church building has been marked as a heritage building and is a lovely example of that genre.
