The purpose of the Técnico Debate Club is clear: to promote the existence of a space where diverse perspectives converge and to enable the Técnico community to express their opinions on relevant issues through reasoned argument, while fostering the values of curiosity, tolerance and critical thinking. Debate as an art has deep roots in mediating conflicts or reaching agreements. We want to emphasise its importance through public debates on civil society issues and conversations with leaders and professionals from a wide range of sectors. We intend to go even further by creating workshops, podcasts and opinion.
