To promote documentary, create healthy audience appreciation for documentary and make New Zealand a documentary destination on the world stage.

To lead and support filmmakers to develop and make compelling documentary films and to inspire the creative, business and wider communities to celebrate local and international documentary stories.
What we do?
Doc Edge Festival – New Zealand's only and Australasia premiere international documentary film festival held annually in Auckland and Wellington. The Festival showcases best films from New Zealand and around the world. It includes awards celebrating documentary and recognises achievements.
Docs 4 Schools - An educational programme featuring documentary screenings and talks for schools to attend.
Screen Edge Forum - An annual screen industry conference that brings together local and international industry to discuss developments, explore funding and co-production opportunities to up-skill and network. It includes seminars, panels, masterclasses and Doc Pitch, a pitching forum for new documentary projects.
Story Edge – A Kiwi-born interactive digital storytelling programme that brings together storytellers, designers, creative technologists and producers from across Aotearoa to collaborate on transformative, immersive stories told across interactive digital platforms.
Doc Edge Presents – Regular public screenings throughout the year.
