The Eden Jar
The Eden Jar was founded in 2014 by Ngozi L Obanye. It provides creative, social and enterprising opportunities to individuals in the UK and abroad, to help improve their health and well-being. The projects allow individuals to develop, enhance creative thinking and empower them to make positive lifestyle changes. They encourage people to engage with each other and talk through their issues and share life experiences.
The Eden Jar social events offer unique opportunities to build relationships with individuals, community groups, charities and companies, promoting growth within communities. The projects include, creative writing, art projects, health and wellbeing events, peer to peer support groups and networking events. During the pandemic, Eden Jar received a grant to run online creative writing programs with Creative Facilitators. These programs helped to reduce anxiety, stress and improve mental and emotional well-being. The three programs were, Write to Heal, Expressions and a 30-day Book writing course. Facilitators included, Baden prince, Abe Gibson and Peaches Publications
