The InDesign User Group
The InDesign User Group is the place where folks who speak the language of InDesign come together to learn something new, try something different, or experience something unusual. We create community, explore diversity, and make the world a better place through graphic design. But for some, our monthly presentations and occasional field trips are just an excuse to hang out, much like football is an excuse to drink beer.
At IDUG, not only can you talk about the program we all know and love, find out the latest updates, learn new techniques, swap stories about novel workarounds, inspire others who are having a bad day, and engage with folks who don’t happen to live next door, but also perhaps snag some swag or win a drawing prize including Adobe software! IDUG engages in the difficult process of appealing to InDesign users of all skill levels and unique interests with a smorgasbord of programs that range from the serious and technical to the fun and unexpected. A particular focus of the group is extending information about page layout and digital publishing into diverse and underserved communities.
Major sponsors of IDUG include Adobe Systems and CreativePro Network, however, IDUG is an independent organization managed by local volunteers. IDUG is a registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization financed through the sale of event tickets, the purchase of branded items and tax-deductible contributions. All regular IDUG meetings and events are free to the public.
