The Treecreepers
Who We Are
The Treecreepers is a birdwatching and nature group for young adults aged 18-35 based in Edinburgh, Scotland.
This group is as a safe space for people to explore and learn about nature, especially birds, with other people who share the same interests. It is for anyone aged 18-35 who wants to get outside, connect with likeminded people and discover the diverse range of birds and other wildlife Edinburgh has to offer. From no experience to expert - everyone is welcome!
We have monthly sessions on a Sunday at different greenspaces throughout Edinburgh where we slowly explore the space and see what we can discover. The group is gradually growing and it is likely more frequent sessions will be added when the demand is there. Background
The Treecreepers was founded by El, a queer & neurodiverse person, who often found established birdwatching groups to be exclusionary of younger, less experienced and less wealthy birders. They also wanted somewhere that was more inclusive of oppressed and marginalised communities.
Now the group gets a beautifully diverse group of people attending, all with the common love of nature and birds. Come along and join us to see what it's like for yourself!
