Whitestone Cheese Co.

Whitestone has been making artisan cheese in Oamaru since 1987 and is 100% family owned and operated by the Berry’s.

Our products’ main point of difference is our local high-quality North Otago milk source; pastures flourish on our limestone based soils producing world class milk to work with.

All of our cheeses are made using only natural ingredients and no artificial preservatives are added. We are true to the source of our raw grass-fed milk and believe the natural flavours should be allowed to carry through requiring minimal flavour enhancers.

Whitestone Cheese are excited to offer Workshops, hosted by Franco Sessa at the Wynyard Pavilion, Auckland CBD. Join us mid-week for 2 hours of cheese tasting, wine pairing and inspiring combinations - perfect for the passionate foodie.
