About Professor Selina Tusitala Marsh

As the first Pasifika woman to receive the prestigious Katherine Mansfield Menton Fellowship and the newly appointed Commonwealth Poet Laureate, Selina brings a wealth of insight, creativity, and passion to her work. In this special session, she will share her personal journey, her love of poetry, and the transformative role of expression in shaping identity.

Young performers are invited to submit recordings of themselves reading one of three of Selina’s poems, with selected recordings discussed and shared live during the webinar, a unique opportunity to celebrate young voices and the stories they carry. Submit entries to info@speechnz.co.nz.
