This programme features Debussy’s String Quartet and Mendelssohn’s brilliant Octet, alongside the contemporary Chinese work “Totem” by Zhang Zhao, and concludes with a heartfelt arrangement of the beloved Māori love song Pokarekare Ana.

Amber Quartet is one of China’s leading internationally acclaimed string quartets, prize-winners at major international competitions, including the Melbourne Asia Pacific International Chamber Music Competition.

They have toured extensively across Europe, North America and Oceania. As official representatives of Chinese cultural artists, they performed alongside pianist Lang Lang at the Milan Winter Olympics Prelude Concert, representing China on an international stage.
