Queering the archive with The Charlotte Museum
Gus Fisher Gallery and The Charlotte Museum are proud to present a special event exploring the queer archives of Aotearoa.
Join Gus Fisher Gallery and Te Whare Takatāpui-Wāhine o Aotearoa The Charlotte Museum for this special event exploring the queer archives of Aotearoa to mark the 40th anniversary of The Homosexual Law Reform Act 1986. Through a conversation between organisations, we will discuss how traditional archiving conventions are expanded through a queer lens, considering thematic parallels with the exhibition Studies for a Keepsake: Claude Cahun and Marcel Moore. Taking place at The Charlotte Museum, a selection of rare ephemera and archive materials relating to the Homosexual Law Reform campaign will be on display for this occasion.
The Studies for a Keepsake public programme is brought to you by The Gerrard and Marti Friedlander Charitable Trust.
