Workshop focus:Economic Harm is behaviour towards a person that controls, restricts or removes their access to money. It is also a form of family violence that can lead to poverty, homelessness and isolation, and can continue long after a relationship has ended. Good Shepherd NZ works with social services, government and corporate partners to raise awareness of economic harm, and to improve our systems to better support people affected by it. This year, Good Shepherd NZ has been working with organisations in the UK, Australia and Canada to raise awareness through Economic Harm Awareness Day - Good Shepherd NZ as part of the 16 days of activism against gender-based violence.About the speaker:Good Shepherd&#x27;s facilitator, Kiti Tauira, is passionate about raising awareness of this largely hidden form of violence so that more people can begin to access the help they need. Kiti also works in schools in the Wellington region to support young people with the tools they need to have healthy relationships and end the cycle of violence in our communities.
