The Centre for Mathematical Social Science (CMSS) and the Department of Economics at The University of Auckland are pleased to host the 43rd Australasian Economic Theory Workshop (2026 AETW) in collaboration with the Department of Economics and Finance and the Centre for Social Data Analytics (CSDA) at Auckland University of Technology on Thursday & Friday, 19 & 20 February 2026.

Keynote speakers: Annie Liang (Northwestern University) sponsored by AUT and Joel Sobel (University of California San Diego) sponsored by The University of Auckland and the Kalman Foundation.

Preceding the workshop, there will be three sessions (Monday, 16 February 2026, morning & afternoon, and Tuesday, 17 February 2026, morning) part of a mini course with Joel Sobel as a guest lecturer. Find out more, here.
