Come join us for a fun-filled day in Alfredton on Saturday March 28, 2026. Lace up your shoes and get ready to challenge yourself in the beautiful Wairarapa countryside.

Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking for a walk with a group of like minded people, this event has something for everyone. Enjoy the fresh air, stunning views, and the camaraderie of the community.

Nestled in the heart of Alfredton, our scenic location is just 45 minutes from Masterton and just over an hour from Palmerston North. The main walk stretches approximately 17km over hilly terrain, open farmland, native bush and farm tracks rewarding you with breathtaking veiws that will make every step worthwhile. A good level of fitness will help you tackle the hills and enjoy the journey! You can opt for the 11km route—it’s just as beautiful and still requires a good level of fitness.

Midway through the walk you’ll be treated to a scrumptious packed lunch prepared by our renowned local cooks and bakers. (We know runners rarely like to stop so you can nominate to pick up your lunchbag to refuel at the end of the course too) And don’t worry—if you have any dietary needs, just let us know when you book.

Be sure to wear suitable walking/running boots or shoes due to the uneven ground surface. Other essentials are a water bottle or hydration pack (which you can refill at the halfway point), suitable layers for warmth, and a waterproof jacket.

After the walk, join us for food and beverages available for purchase—just remember to bring cash, as EFTPOS won’t be available. Plus, we’ll have a variety of exciting spot prizes generously donated by our sponsors
