Come along to The Dowse for a free day of art and play with activities for everyone.

Art Play Day takes over the museum, turning it into a creative playground of hands-on fun.

Create your own colourful textile, build a sculpture in the gallery, make a printmaking masterpiece, see the Wheel of Avalon come to life and indulge in loads of messy play!

Bring the whole whānau and get creative at The Dowse from 11am – 2pm, Sunday 14 December.

You might even walk away with enough handmade gifts to tick off your list this year.

And as a special treat, you can relive the days when celebrities would don ball gowns and tuxedos to sing Christmas carols on game shows. Don’t miss the special screening of the 1995 Celebrity Christmas episode of Wheel of Fortune, screening from 11am – 2pm in Bronwyn Holloway-Smith’s The Wheel of Avalon.
