Event Details

Love a good dance movie? Want to do good for others? Love to have some of the cast members from the BORN TO DANCE perform a dance piece especially for US? (Yup! For real!) Wanna do your bit to help our youth help themselves? Then JOIN US in our BORN TO DANCE fundraiser!

 About the Film:

‘BORN TO DANCE' is choreographed by internationally celebrated world champion hip-hop dancer, Kiwi, Parris Goebel. With a pulsing soundtrack and awesome dance scenes from some of the world’s best hip-hop dancers, BORN TO DANCE is a classic coming-of-age story about Tu, a young man caught between who he is, who he wants to be and what others expect of him…’ – Dionne Christian, HOS. Bring the kids along as it's a family friendly - rated PG!

About this Event:

MANY HANDS MAKE LIGHT WORK: The people of the BRIDGE THE GAP PROJECT in association with CLARE MCCALL for FRIENDS OF NEPAL are holding OUR FIRST MINI EVENT to raise funds to help us dress disadvantaged teens and help those in need in Nepal. With a dance piece performed live for us on the day by some cast members of Born To Dance and Momentum Productions, we also have raffles, prizes and giveaways. So rally up your peeps and book your tickets now!

Timing on Sunday 4 October:

2:00pm: Arrival, meet & greet & network (if you so choose)
3:00pm: Dance routine
3:30pm: Born to Dance Film Start
5:04pm: Film End Guests Depart

What about sponsoring someone less fortunate than you to have an experience they'll never forget?

And for all of you who can’t make the day? What about treating someone less fortunate than you? We’ll happily gift tickets to CYF CAREGIVERS & THEIR YOUNG PEOPLE (just like we did for NZ WEDDINGS show at Fashion Week). Because anyone who has the balls to take care of a young person, especially a troubled teen, who isn't ‘their own’ do it for LOVE, not $$$.

 Born to Dance

Fundraising for a Cause:

We know experiences are everything in memory-linking, so we’re creating experiences to gift to kids like Amanda Betts who had it tough, giving them access to confidence building experiences, basic life skills and our amazing confidence-boosting transformational photo sessions & $39 outfit challenge confidence-booster days.

CLARE is on a mission to raise funds and deliver over 100 first aid kits to people truly in need in Nepal, and will be trekking the Himalayas again in November.

We’ll do the hard yards, all you need do is turn up, network, be entertained, win stuff and have some fun!

#BTGP Tote Bag

There’re stacks of fabulous prizes and giveaways including merch from our online shop with the big heart in Lindi Kingi for BTGP ‘Freedom of Choice’ bracelets, Ryan Meta ‘Many Hands Make Light Work’ totes (in black or white), outfits, MOR Little Luxury Crackers, TLC candles (where $5/candle goes to brain cancer victims).

 MOR Little Luxury Crackers

Luxury MOR products.

MOR candles & lip accessories

Special thanks:

A massive thanks to LISA MCCALL of NZ HOME LOANS, who without her support this event couldn't happen.
And to the dancers of Born to Dance at Momentum Productions.
