About this event

Join us for this special workshop at Ashburton Art Gallery.

Run by Ōtautahi artist and Zonta Ashburton Female Art Award 2021 Premier Award winner Jacquelyn Greenbank, this workshop is for adults.

Greenbank will guide you through the process of carving a cameo from soap. A Cameo is a piece of jewellery, typically oval in shape, consisting of a portrait in profile carved in relief on a background of a different colour.

All materials are supplied and no experience is required.

Limited to 10 places, so book your place today to avoid disappointment.

(Please note this event is not suitable for children.)

Organiser Keep Learning Mid Canterbury

Organiser of Carve a Cameo

Keep Learning Mid Canterbury provides opportunities for Adult Community Education and is run by Connecting Mid Canterbury Charitable Trust. Each school term we put out a programme of approximately 10 learning events, open to the whole community. Volunteers & professionals share their skills and passions with others who come along - some events are free while others have a fee. Sometimes Mid Canterbury TimeBank members can pay in time credits and other community members pay with money.

Follow the Keep Learning Mid Canterbury Facebook Page to see what other events we have organised.
