About this event
Organised by the Blenheim & Districts Highland Pipe Band our annual Ceilidh in Marlborough will be held Sat 27th Aug from 6.30pm at Renwick Community Memorial Hall. Tickets available to purchase here on Eventbrite or from our friends at Mitchell Sport in Blenheim, Seumus Irish Bar Picton and The Woodbourne Tavern and Motels in Renwick. Small ticket fee does apply here on Eventbrite.
What is a Ceilidh? A social event with Scottish music traditional dancing and customs. Originally the word Ceilidh (kay-lee) descended from the Gaelic word for ‘gathering’ or ‘party’… these days when people think of a Ceilidh, they think of a fun filled night of dancing, good music and great company!
We have a great venue, a Ceilidh band, food and great company.
There's a bar available to purchase your own beverages, strictly no BYO.
Prizes for best dressed in keeping with the Scottish theme. Don't know the dances or a little bit rusty? Don't worry we've got that covered to as the band has a caller who will run you through a wee practice before each dance starts.
In 2022 we have a shuttle available for return trips around the Renwick, & Blenheim immediate area - courtesy of The Woodbourne Tavern & Motels. This is a family friendly event suitable for young and old so come along for a dance, meet new people, sit and watch the dancing, have a chat and enjoy some fantastic music! We'd love to see you at our 2022 Ceilidh!
