Event description
As communicators how ready are we really for Artificial Intelligence? Join us for this evening event to find out.

About this Event

Artificial Intelligence – or AI – is the topic de jour globally. But how are we placed as communicators to both communicate it and use it? Do we understand the benefits and potential threats to our workplaces and our industry? How ready are we really for the technology that is already amongst us?

This October, we’ll be joined by Adrian Cropley OAM, Past IABC international Chair, Founder of the IABC Academy and Centre for Strategic Communication Excellence, who will explore the results from the second annual Communicating AI survey and take us through a discussion on developing a “Communicating AI Playbook” that you can use to initiate a stronger, better conversation on these issues and build capacity and sustainability for the organisations you work in.

This session will include:

  • A review of the 2019 Communicating AI survey key findings
  • Discussion using the ‘Communicating AI Playbook’ framework
  • Practical next steps for communication professionals in preparing themselves to communicate AI in their organisations or adopting AI within the communication function
  • Explore how you can start building your AI preparedness

This was one of the most popular events at the recent IABC World Conference in Vancouver in June so for those of you who couldn’t manage to get over to Canada, or for those of you who did but missed out, don’t be caught out again!

About the Communicating AI Survey

The Centre for Strategic Communication Excellence partnered with the IABC Foundation in 2019 to conduct the second annual Communicating AI survey. The focus of this research looked at two distinct participant groups—communication professionals currently communicating AI and those observing AI communication from the outside.

The 2019 research presents discussions from business leaders, and communication professionals operating as business leaders, to discover the strategic priorities underway in companies of all sizes and cultures and explores what communication professionals may already be doing within the communication function.
