Day One 2017 - A New Beginning

Sunday 24th September

A powerful story began in this church some 99 years ago, and year after year, we have seen people saved, prayers answered, believers discipled and new dreams and visions ‘birthed’. Just as our predecessors stood at one time on the edge of the dreams the Lord was calling them to, today we too stand on the edge of something great. Something we believe that the Lord is calling our generation to. We are following the Lord as He leads us to reach thousands of people in Wellington with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Today we gather to seek the Lord, as we stand on the edge. We dare not go forward without the power and the presence of God. We must have our own hearts, our own lives, drenched with His Spirit. We must know Him. We must love Him. Remain in Him. This is our prayer.

We have called this coming together Day One. One day to pray, worship, testify, and encounter the Lord

Please register a ticket for every member of your household who is attending Day One. There is no cost to attend Day One.

The Massive (youth age) will have reserved seating to sit all together in St James Theatre for all 3 sessions. They will head out to lunch together, so either BYO or bring money for lunch.

Adults Programme

10:00 - 11:40 Session 1 - Meet Him

For the first time since our church began having multiple services, we’ll come together as one to worship! This session will focus on drawing near to God as a single church community.

LUNCH: Unwrap that packed lunch or grab a bite somewhere nearby; caffeinate and recharge for an inspiring afternoon!

1:00 - 2:10 Session 2 - What God has done

As our church has grown it’s become harder to keep up with the amazing stories of God at work... until now! In this session we’ll take a moment to reflect on God’s faithfulness through the generations, and what he is doing among us today.

BREAK: A quick leg stretch or better yet, get to know someone new.

2:30 - 4:00 Session 3 - What God will do

A time to commit our way to the Lord; to seek his power, to commission Simon and Jenny for our new work on the Miramar Peninsula, and for everyone at The Street to agree - let’s play our part in God’s work in Wellington.
