Let yourself be inspired by the current exhibition!

About this event

Join the Ashburton Art Gallery team for a tour of the exhibition Cellular Memory by Wellington-based sculptor/installation artist Elizabeth Thomson.

Throughout her 30 year career, Elizabeth has been drawn to areas of scientific knowledge such as botany, micro-biology, oceanography and mathematics.

Following the tour we invite visitors to make their own creations inspired by the exhibition. All resources will be provided, no prior artistic experience required!

Please note, this is an event suitable for adults only.

FREE, but koha welcome if you want to donate to the Gallery.

Limited to 10 places so please register to reserve your spot and so we know how many to prepare for. If we are still in level 2 you will need to wear a face mask.

Organiser Keep Learning Mid Canterbury

Organiser of Get Creative

Keep Learning Mid Canterbury provides opportunities for Adult Community Education and is run by Connecting Mid Canterbury Charitable Trust. Each school term we put out a programme of approximately 10 learning events, open to the whole community. Volunteers & professionals share their skills and passions with others who come along - some events are free while others have a fee. Sometimes Mid Canterbury TimeBank members can pay in time credits and other community members pay with money.

Follow the Keep Learning Mid Canterbury Facebook Page to see what other events we have organised.
