About this event

Government Engagement: In-person practical workshop

1 July, 10am-12pm: 303-G16 (Faculty of Science), 28 Princes St. Auckland 1010

Rebecca Adams, Director Government Relations, Auckland UniServices, will be hosting a practical in person workshop to give you a general overview and practical advice on how to plan for successful Government engagement in an MBIE Endeavour funding context and focusing on other funding opportunities in Government that might also be relevant. She will cover how to engage with Government, with tips on framing of opportunities, how to stand out in a crowded landscape and latest information on what MBIE people really want. We also hope to showcase some of the work of several academics who have successfully worked with Government and provide insights as to why and how they were successful. There will be working sessions built in to review and refine your lean canvas and to discuss the lean canvas with colleagues. The session will be two hours, questions are encouraged, can be sent through in advance and there will be scope to ask questions as we go as well as time set aside at the end of around 30 mins for Q&A.

Requirement: Must submit a completed lean canvas in advance to confirm participation. A link to this will be sent in your confirmation email.

Audience: Researchers interested in applying to MBIE Endeavour, ready with a specific research idea.
