Graduation Ball 2020
Event Information
About this Event
For nearly 70 years, the Old Girls’ Association has hosted a Graduation Ball, to celebrate our Year 13 students’ graduation from school and officially welcome our newest members into our Association and our St Cuthbert’s global alumnae.
We invite Graduates to purchase tickets for family, friends and a partner to share in this special occasion. **Tickets on sale from 12th October ** .
In recognition of a difficult year we have dropped the Ticket price by $10 to $155 (plus booking fee) and this includes the graduation ceremony, seated dinner, dancing and digital access to ALL photos of the evening taken by White Door Photography.
A Cash Bar will be available on the night, non-alcoholic drinks will be supplied complimentary throughout the night.
Graduates may invite family, friends, and a partner. Partners are not compulsory. This is an adult event and is not appropriate for children under 14.
Please note that graduates will also be required to purchase a ticket. As the Ball is run entirely by the Old Girls’ Association, tickets are not able to be charged to your school account.
Refunds
Should the event be cancelled due to COVID19, then your ticket will be refunded.
Dress code
Formal evening wear is required. In keeping with tradition, it is preferred that graduates wear white or pale coloured dresses and preferably long.
Graduation groups
What better way to graduate than walking across the stage with your friends? At the booking stage, you will need to nominate who you would like to graduate on stage with (in pairs or up to groups of four). When selecting your graduation group, please remember to be inclusive and ensure that everyone is able to enjoy the moment.
Presentation of Graduates
Your parents, families and caregivers are some of your biggest supporters and are undoubtedly part of the reason that you’re graduating this year.
In honour of their support, we ask that you nominate one person (ideally a parent or guardian) to walk with you and stand with you as you receive your Old Girls Badge. You will also share the first dance of the evening with that person.
Seating arrangements
At the booking stage, you will be asked to nominate who you would like to be seated with for the dinner. Please note that we can accommodate up to ten people per table. We will do our utmost to ensure that all requests are taken into consideration.
If you do not have a preference, a table will be arranged for you.
Professional photographs
We have arranged for White Door Photography to capture the evening and there will be photo booths and plenty of opportunities to get photos with your friends and family.
ALL photos will be made available to you digitally as part of the ticket price.
Grad ball rehearsal
There will be a rehearsal for Year 13 students which will take place on the morning of Friday 11th December at Ellerslie Event Centre. It is very important that you attend this practice so that you know the logistics of where to walk
