About this event

  • Event lasts 9 hours

Join us at the stunning Te Māhurehure Marae in Auckland for a prevention-first breakthrough.

This is your opportunity to stand with public health leaders, policymakers, community organisers, rangatahi, and researchers to design real and scalable interventions that put prevention at the centre of Aotearoa’s future.

Hear from world-leading experts – and drive change.

The day will kick off with keynote speaker Professor Gary Sacks, an internationally recognised leader in food policy and prevention economics, who will lay out a bold roadmap for reshaping systems to deliver long-term wellbeing – and what needs to happen next.

This isn’t just a summit – it’s a solutions lab.

We’re done talking. This is where the action begins.

  • Tackle the big levers: Join focused Prevention Hub Intervention Sessions that dig into the core drivers of harm – from alcohol sponsorship and junk food marketing to nicotine regulation, ultra-processed food systems, and corporate influence on policy. Walk away with strategies you can implement now.
  • Shift systems, not symptoms: Engage with experts leading change in prevention economics, Indigenous health leadership, and policy reform – and work alongside them to create practical pathways forward.
  • Make it community-led, not top-down: Participate in interactive panels, rangatahi-led kōrero, and sessions designed to centre equity, sovereignty, and lived experience in every solution.
  • Build momentum: Leave with tools, partnerships, and next-step actions to fuel a national prevention movement – from the grassroots to government.

If you work in policy, practice, research, or advocacy – or are ready to help transform our health system from reactive to proactive – this is your moment.

Morning tea and lunch will be provided.

Spaces are limited. Reserve your seat today and be part of the change.
