The FoodBowl is a food factory like no other! Part of the New Zealand Food Innovation Network, this export certified modular facility is open for start-ups all the way to large multi-nationals to use for product development through to commercial production. The FoodBowl is a conduit to the Food, Beverage and Nutraceutical industrys of New Zealand and regulary holds events to up-skill and inform people on the latest trends and techniques to better processes and business.

<p>Extrusion is a processing technology used to manufacture a wide range of products in the food and related industries - from snacks, breakfast cereals, and pasta to petfoods and aquafeeds.  Extrusion is also used for manufacturing plant-based &quot;meats&quot;. This webinar will provide an overview of the uses of this technology, and the science behind making it work.  Areas reviewed will include:</p><ul><li>What is extrusion cooking</li><li>How does an extrusion process work</li><li>Types of extruder</li><li>Ingredients and how they are cooked</li><li>The importance of rheology in understanding extrusion</li></ul>

<p>The webinar will be delivered via Zoom by Dennis Forte of <a href="https://www.foodstream.com.au/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">FoodStream</a>, an Australian company which has been presenting practical training programs around the world including in Australia, Europe, South America, Thailand and New Zealand for almost 20 years.</p>
