Introduction to High Performance Computing (HPC Carpentry)
Join us for an interactive, online workshop introducing you to high performance computing (HPC).
This is a four hour, hands-on, online introduction to using Mahuika, a High-Performance Computing (HPC) cluster available in REANNZ's HPC Platform. Members of the training team will guide attendees through HPC fundamentals including:
- How to access the HPC cluster
- Command line basics
- Working with a scheduler
- Accessing software via modules
- Using resources effectively and responsibly
The goal of this workshop is to get you using our HPC platform.
We will be working from the REANNZ fork of Introduction to High-Performance Computing, which can be found here.
Pre-Requisites
This workshop is open to all New Zealand based researchers. You will need access to the REANNZ HPC in order to follow along. Instructions on how to apply and access will be sent to workshop registrants.
