Kai Auckland Hui
Sun 13 November 2016, 2:00 PM – 8:30 PM NZDT
Every year Aucklanders get together under the umbrella of Kai Auckland to talk food politics.
This year we have a presentation on Food Security covering the big picture and the Auckland scene.
Campaigning and policy – What makes a good campaign and shall we run one? How do we influence policy?
Urban Agriculture – scaling up our community gardens
Online platforms – how do we make the most of the digital world
The Tomato Movement - adding a practical element to the movement with cooking demonstrations.
We finish off the day with a Community Meal – you can come to the whole day, the meal or both.
The meal will be sourced from local produce and rescued food and made with the loving hands of our volunteers. Over dinner some guest “reflectors” will share their thoughts and ideas about the workshops and hui.
