Re-use, Re-Purpose, Beautify with Gold!!

Come along and learn the magical art of Kintsugi with Artist Ema Frost in this new Workshop. You can bring along a piece of your own pottery to restore in this beautiful style. (I'll also have a few as back up if you don't have your own piece) (All Levels)

Sunday 8th February - 9:30am - 11:30am

Kintsugi

It's called kintsugi (金継ぎ), or kintsukuroi (金繕い), literally golden (“kin”) and repair (“tsugi”). This traditional Japanese art uses a precious metal – liquid gold, liquid silver or lacquer dusted with powdered gold – to bring together the pieces of a broken pottery item and at the same time enhance the breaks.

You will take away your wonderful finished work, plus your knew skills which will enable you to further your own Kintsugi in your own time.

This class is not just for budding or accomplished artists. It is for everyone to enjoy a relaxing day of art and design with Ema.

What you will take away:

A finished artwork piece

A understanding of Kintsugi

Knowledge and History of this beautiful art form.

Where: Titirangi Community House, 500 South Titirangi Rd, Auckland 0604
