Learn the magical art of Kintsugi with Artist Ema Frost in this new Workshop. You can bring along a piece of your own pottery to restore in this beautiful style. (I'll also have a few as back up if you don't have your own piece) (All Levels)

Sunday 8th March - 10:30am - 12:30pm or 2:00 - 4:00pm

Have you ever wanted to try Kintsugi.... It's an ancient Japanese art form where you fix broken pottery with gold - making its imperfections its beauty. - A truly wonderful philosophy to live by. Nothing is ever really broken but new life and meaning is brought back making your piece a work of art and truly something special. You can also apply this technique on various materials like glass, wood, greenstone and shells.

Kintsugi
It's called kintsugi (金継ぎ), or kintsukuroi (金繕い), literally golden (“kin”) and repair (“tsugi”). This traditional Japanese art uses a precious metal – liquid gold, liquid silver or lacquer dusted with powdered gold – to bring together the pieces of a broken pottery item and at the same time enhance the breaks.

You will take away your wonderful finished work, plus your new skills which will enable you to further your own Kintsugi in your own time.

What you will take away:
A finished artwork piece
A understanding of Kintsugi
Knowledge and History of this beautiful art form.

When: Sunday 8th March 2026
