Event description
When it comes to Health and Disability services are you familiar with your rights?

About this event

Ever felt like your GP didn't listen? Your physio didn't explain things well? Your carer didn't show up on time? Maybe you're concerned for someone you care about or want to be prepared if you ever find yourself in a situation like this.

Come to this event with Ruby McGruddy, an advocate with the Nationwide Health and Disability Advocacy Service, to find out more about your rights when it comes to receiving a health or disability service.

The Health and Disability Advocacy Service supports people with resolving their complaint if they have a concern about a health or disability service that they have received.

At this FREE event you'll find out why it’s important to speak up if you’re unhappy, your options for making a complaint if things have gone wrong, and how the advocacy service can support you with your complaint, including supporting you to complain directly to the provider.

Register for this event now and share with those you think will be interested.

Open to all.

Keep Learning Mid Canterbury provides opportunities for Adult Community Education and is run by Connecting Mid Canterbury Charitable Trust. Each school term we put out a programme of approximately 10 learning events, open to the whole community. Volunteers & professionals share their skills and passions with others who come along - some events are free while others have a fee. Sometimes Mid Canterbury TimeBank members can pay in time credits and other community members pay with money.

Follow the Keep Learning Mid Canterbury Facebook Page to see what other events we have organised.
