Lessons From Imam Nawawi's 40 Hadith: When Faith becomes Character!
Explore timeless lessons from Imam Nawawi’s 40 Hadith on intention, character, boundaries, and mercy.
Join us for a special evening exploring timeless wisdom from Imam Nawawi’s 40 Hadith, focusing on how faith is lived through intention, character, emotional discipline, and reliance on Allah.
This session will reflect on selected hadith that guide the believer from inner sincerity to outward conduct, addressing themes such as setting healthy boundaries, managing anger, cultivating good character, and finding reassurance in the vast mercy of Allah. These teachings offer practical guidance for navigating modern life with clarity, balance, and spiritual grounding.
We are honoured to welcome Sheikh Omar Patel all the way from Canada, as our guest speaker. Sheikh Omar completed his formal Islamic studies in Arabic and Islamic Studies in South Africa and later earned a Master of Pastoral Studies with a specialisation in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy from the University of Toronto. He has served as a Muslim Chaplain at the University of Toronto since 2015 and has undertaken further professional training in psychotherapy and counselling.
Sheikh Omar works extensively with Muslim communities across Canada, with a particular focus on mental health awareness and accessible, faith-centred support. His work integrates Islamic sciences with contemporary mental health care, drawing on his clinical experience with adolescents, couples, and families.
This talk is ideal for anyone seeking a grounded, compassionate approach to Islam — one that nurtures the heart, strengthens character, and reconnects us to Allah (swt) mercy.
