a 1-day mindfulness retreat designed to reduce anxiety and offer tools you can take home to use.

About this Event

Please join me for a day-long retreat, at the new Lotus Yoga Centre, to explore the experience of being present and open to a still place of moving and being. This retreat is particularly designed to calm the mind and reduce stress. We’ll use sitting mindfulness and breath practices, plus a qi gong (chi kung) and breath sequence designed to reduce anxiety. To help this happen, parts of the day will be in silence , so you can really come home to yourself and experience stillness. However please note that full instruction will be given. (I’ll talk!) There will be time to sit and walk at breaks, or to rest, and to write.During the day you will be guided in these, and more:

Mindfulness meditation practices

Breath work to relax the mind, oxygenate the body and calm anxiety

A qi gong sequence for anxiety that you can use at home

Tips to build mindfulness into everyday life

Practices to improve sleep

Cost: $105 (please bring food to share for lunch)Morning tea / snacks will be provided.

The retreat is suitable for beginners, and for those with experience in mindfulness meditation and qi gong (chi kung).
