Experience more ease and vitality in your day-to-day life! Join me for a blend of mindfulness in sitting and Awareness thro Movement lessons

About this event

Treat yourself to a day to explore and practise a more natural state of being.  During the day we will explore mindfulness meditation and awareness through movement lessons to access the benefits of being fully present. We will also include some simple stretches and movements to warm and energise the body.

The way we move and breathe has a profound effect on our quality of life.  In this 1-day retreat, we include two mindfulness-in- movement lessons drawn from the work of Moshe Feldenkrais. These are designed to free the body and create more ease of movement and posture. Because an easy and relaxed body assists us in meditation practice, the lessons are a wonderful adjunct to sitting and walking mindfulness practice.

Teas, coffee and morning tea snakcs will be provided.

The retreat is suitable for beginners, and for those with experience in mindfulness meditation and Feldenkrais.

Organiser the art of mindfulness - Rachel Tobin

Organiser of Natural Ease: a 1-day mindfulness and movement retreat, KAPITI

Rachel Tobin is the director of the art of mindfulness. She teaches mindfulness courses, offers mindfulness training in organisations, and teaches one-day and residential mindfulness and movement retreats at various centres round NZ. She offers a mindfulness-based approach for coaching, mentioring and supervision on a 1:1 basis, and facilitates her 7-week programme for children, Now, in the Moment. Rachel is also a poet and her collection, Say it Naked, was published at the end of last year.
