Come to Staveley Camp for the day or stay the whole weekend!
IT IS FREE AND OPEN TO EVERYONE - just bring your food. All ages are welcome.
* Note: Staveley Camp Open Weekend is still going ahead under Level 2*
See this little gem of a camp - enjoy the native forest and the opportunity to help restore & protect it by participating in some forest tasks . If you're not up for forest work, no worries - you can relax and enjoy the surroundings or join in some of the other things happening:
Saturday Nov 6th
10.30am - 12pm: Forest Tour with gen de spa
1.00 - 3pm: Printing with Nature (children welcome)
3.00 - 5pm: Harakeke/ Flax **POSTPONED**
5- 7pm: Shared BBQ - bring something for the bbq or a salad to share
7.30- 9.30pm: Quiz Night! ** CANCELED** Board Games/ Chill out time instead
Sunday Nov 7th
9am - 12pm Flaxweaving - flowers (get in quick - limited to 10 people)
10.30am - 12pm Shinrin Yoku (forest bathing)
1pm- 4pm Flaxweaving - bracelets (get in quick - limited to 10 people)
The famous Staveley Sausage Rolls & Coffee Cart will be on site from 10am.
All day, both days:
- Forest Tasks
- Hanging in the Hammocks -use binoculars to observe the birds
- Nature trail
- Nature Scavenger Hunt
- Kids activities (afternoons)
- Puzzles, games, own crafts
- Connecting with others
- Kitchen available to prep your breakfast/ lunch
PLEASE REGISTER if you intend coming. :-)
If you'd like to help in the forest, bring garden gloves, sensible shoes and if you've got them; loppers, a handsaw and/ or secateurs.
Beds in bunkrooms available for Saturday night, also campsites for tents or caravans. When registering choose the ticket that reflects what you want to do - i.e. day visit, overnight in bunkrooms or campsite.
