More about the show:
Lock in a cultured night out on Thursday 10 July as Auckland Philharmonia's principal musicians take centre stage for a sparkling performance in the Auckland Town Hall.
Musicians Jonathan Cohen and Gabrielle Pho, featured soloists in this particular concert and proud rainbow community members, will join us on the balcony for a pre-concert presentation on the Auckland Philharmonia, the concert that evening, and the rainbow community that exists in orchestral music.
Mozart’s amiable concerto for a group of star wind players gives the orchestra's talented principal oboe, clarinet, bassoon and horn players a chance to shine. After the interval, sit back and enjoy an arrangement of Wagner's passionate song Träume ('Dreams') played by the orchestra's extraordinary Concertmaster Andrew Beer.
Prepare for a night of drama, passion and symphonic excellence!
