Reotahi Night Snorkel
Explore beneath the surface of the Reotahi Marine Reserve at night with the Mountains to Sea Conservation Trust.
Come and explore the Reotahi Marine Reserve at night! EMR are hosting a community night snorkel at the Reotahi Marine Reserve. Spot the usual suspects: parore, triplefins, spotties, tamure and sweep, with the added excitement of snorkelling at night and trying something new!
All snorkelling equipment will be provided, including a personal glow device, boogie boards and your guide will have a dive torch. Our coordinators provide a full health and safety briefing before entry into the water. Twilight snorkel is suitable for confident snorkelers aged 10+, Night snorkel is suitable for confident snorkelers aged 12+.
This event is funded by WaterSafetyNZ and Whangārei District Council.
This event is free, although pre-registration is essential.
Please arrive 15 minutes before your snorkel slot to allow time to sign.
An information pack will be sent to you 48 hours before the event, including what to expect and what to bring. A weather call will be made the night before, and you will be notified by email if the game is postponed.

Please book a slot for each person wishing to attend, if you book and can no longer attend please refund/cancel your ticket so others may take your place.
Please don't be late as the group may leave without you, as group limits are restricted for safety reasons you may not be able to join a later group as these may all be fully booked.
You are welcome to register for both the twilight and night snorkels but please make sure to book in both activities separately.
Where: Look for the Mountains to Sea gazebo at the Reotahi Caravan Park.
Please note: This event is located 3hrs north of Auckland and 1.5hrs south of Kerikeri.
