The retreat is a blend of discussion, participation, academic reviews, movement, and meditation.   Participants are organisational psychologists, HR professionals and others with an interest in using mindfulness in their own practice and in organisational contexts.
This year’s theme is Simplicity. 
Programme: Each day begins with mindful movement or Tai Chi on the lawn. Each day also includes meditation and mindfulness sessions and are suitable for people who are new to both, as well as those with experience. Interspersed throughout both days are workshops and discussion sessions.
 The weekend will include the following.

<LI>A Quaker Church member talks about simplicity and meditation</LI>
<LI>World Café - short overviews of some of the research on mindfulness.  </LI>
<LI>An extended period of silence</LI>
<LI>A night time meditative silent walk.</LI>

 The retreat has an established practice of drawing on the experience of the group as well as inviting inspirational speakers and practitioners.
 We will end the retreat between 3 and 4 pm on the Sunday. 
 The venue is the peaceful and comfortable St Francis Retreat Centre, 50 Hillsborough Rd. The retreat is residential, with private rooms. The food is excellent (and they can cater for vegetarians).
