Grab your paddle and join us for the South Side Slam — a fun-filled pickleball fundraiser bringing the community together for a great cause.

Why it matters

Every dollar raised goes directly toward supporting our mentors, former national sports stars who understand firsthand the challenges facing rangatahi today. These aren't just coaches; they're role models who show up, listen, and walk alongside young people from South Auckland on the journey into adulthood.

Their mahi is real and making a difference; helping rangatahi thrive as they enter adulthood. Our mentors navigate positive pathways into employment, supporting young people to get their drivers licence, build employment skills, and develop the confidence and capability they need to succeed.

Who's it for?

This is a mixed social event designed for players with a DUPR score under 2.00, or those who are yet to be scored. If you're newer to the game or still finding your feet, this one's for you. This is grassroots pickleball at its best.

How to register

Mixed teams can sign up in one of two ways:

Quartet — Register as a set mixed team of four and come ready to play together

Half Quartet — Register as a pair and we'll match you up with another half quartet on the day

Tickets are $80 per person. The tournament is capped at 40 teams (160 tickets total).

Reserve tickets

Sold out? You can still get in the game. Reserve tickets are available at $80 — the same price as a standard ticket — and place you on our waitlist. Your ticket will only be charged if a spot opens up from the original 160. If no spot becomes available, you won't be charged. We'll be in touch as soon as something comes up.

What to expect on the day

With 40 teams in the tournament and a minimum of 8 games guaranteed per team, you'll get plenty of court time and plenty of chances to find your groove, meet new people, and have a proper hit-out.
