A panel kōrero facilitated by James Webster (Tainui, Te Arawa) and Libby Gray (Ngāti Rēhia, Ngāti Uepōhatu, Tama Ūpoko ki te Awa o Wanganui, Ngāti Tūwharetoa), which reflects on the journey of Haumanu and the future of taonga pūoro with leading taonga pūoro exponents. Including Brian Flintoff, the remaining founder of Haumanu, from the original trio of the late Hirini Melbourne and the late Richard Nunns.
Haumanu Collective are dedicated to the retention and revitalisation of Taonga Pūoro. Supported by Ministry of Culture and Heritage and Creative New Zealand this event aims to celebrate this taonga tuku iho.
