TEDxWellingtonSalon Community Event #5
Event Information
Description
Join us for the next 2016 TEDxWellington community salon event at Pātaka Art + Museum, Porirua.
For the first time, TEDxWellington will be hosting an event outside of the city, and we’re excited to share ideas worth spreading with the wider Wellington region.
The salon will be a shared experience with a chance to hear from some of our fantastic previous TEDx speakers:
• Flight Coffee’s co-founder Nick Clark who spoke about ethical bean sourcing (watch his talk)
• Dan Khan who ran the first Lightning Lab startup incubator in the city (watch his talk)
• The team behind Good Bitches Baking who will give an update on how they’re saving the world with cake (watch their talk)
Our community salon events are an opportunity to think and interact with the TEDx community in Wellington and the wider region. There will be TED talks to watch and opportunities to creatively converse with other attendees through facilitated challenges.
Everyone’s welcome – attendance is open to the public and not restricted to just those who have attended a previous TEDx event in the city.
Free entry, but a ticket is required. Tickets are limited to 100, so get in quick!
Drinks and nibbles will be provided.
HUGE thanks to Porirua City Council for sponsoring this event:
