Threads of Us – UOA Ethnic Rainbow Community Bengali Embroidery Workshop

Date: Wednesday, 17 September 2025

Time: 6:00pm – 9:00pm

Location: Lecture Theatre 1 (49), 206-201, 14A Symonds St

🪡✨ Threads of Us is all about stitching, sharing, and connecting! Join us for a cozy evening where ethnic queer students at UoA trace and embroider handprints, swap stories, and reflect together.

We’ll explore what thriving looks like, the challenges our communities face, and the changes we want to see, all while creating something beautiful with our hands. Think of it as crafting meets kōrero, a space to share, listen, and connect.

💖 Who’s it for?

Ethnic queer students at UoA (spaces limited to 10–15 people)

No prior experience is needed—just bring your creativity, your energy, and your stories. This isn’t research; it’s about making space for reflection, conversation, and whānau-building. Kai included, don’t miss out!
