This webinar shares the main outcomes from international research on advances in the integration of sustainability in infrastructure transportation projects – during planning, design, construction and operations.

In this webinar Kerry will discuss:

  • Development of infrastructure sustainability rating tool use;
  • Outcomes and value experienced with rating tool use;
  • Flow-on effects of tool use – influence beyond single projects;
  • Success factors – at the project and the programme level;
  • Recognition of the learning curve – for infrastructure owners and for project teams.

Learning outcomes:

  • Understanding of infrastructure sustainability rating tools for civil infrastructure projects – what and how used;
  • Knowledge of the value and outcomes achieved through rating tool use – as experienced in New Zealand, Australia, the UK and the US;
  • Understanding of the factors which influence achievement of sustainability outcomes through rating tool use;
  • Increasing awareness of how rating tools can be used formally and informally.
