Event description
Intro to online tools that will help you work smarter

About this event

Do you feel at times overwhelmed with all the things you have to juggle?

Do you need a good way to organise things, track a project's progress or collaborate with colleagues or fellow committee members?

Are you tired of scrolling through long email threads to find what you need?

Do you want to feel more organised and on top of things?

Yes?

Then this workshop is for you. :-)

Using Trello (a project management tool) and Zapier (automation) has made a huge difference to Connecting Mid Canterbury coordinator Kate White and she is happy to share what she's learned.

No IT expert, Kate is just an ordinary community person with lots on her plate, sharing how these tools and others have helped her save time, prevented things slipping through the cracks, given her an overview of what needs to be done and a sense of how things are progressing in team or own projects.

If you want to improve your processes for onboarding, project management, documentation, staff/ committee collaboration or just general life organisation, come and get a few ideas.

Bring your laptop as there will be time for you to try out some of the tools yourself during the session and see how they might help you to work smarter.

At 'green' or 'orange' vaccine passes will not be required, if we are in 'red', please show your vaccine pass at the door. Please stay home if you are sick.

Organiser Keep Learning Mid Canterbury

Organiser of Work Smarter

Keep Learning Mid Canterbury provides opportunities for Adult Community Education and is run by Connecting Mid Canterbury Charitable Trust. Each school term we put out a programme of approximately 10 learning events, open to the whole community. Volunteers & professionals share their skills and passions with others who come along - some events are free while others have a fee. Sometimes Mid Canterbury TimeBank members can pay in time credits and other community members pay with money.

Follow the Keep Learning Mid Canterbury Facebook Page to see what other events we have organised.
