Prof Snejina Michailova will address basic principles in theorizing, combining theories, and theoretical contribution.

About this event

This session is designed for PhD students at The University of Auckland. It will address issues, such as definitions and types of theory, basic principles in theorizing, combining theories, and theoretical contribution. The presentation will naturally adopt lenses associated with the presenter’s research background in International Business and Management. PhD students from all faculties at different stages of their studies are welcome to attend.

Bio

Snejina Michailova (PhD in Organisation Studies from Copenhagen Business School) is a Professor of International Business at The University of Auckland Business School. She has conducted PhD sessions, seminars, and workshops at several universities in various countries.

Her academic work has appeared in the Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Executive, California Management Review, Global Strategy Journal, International Business Review, International Journal of Management Reviews, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of International Management, Journal of Knowledge Management, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of World Business, Long Range Planning, Management International Review, Management Learning, Organizational Dynamics, Organization Studies, Technovation, etc. She has co-authored Talent Management in Small Advanced Economies (2019) and co-edited The Routledge Companion on Cross-Cultural Management (2015), Research Handbook on Women in International Management (2014), Knowledge Governance (2010), Human Resource Management in Central and Eastern Europe (2008), and Research Methodologies in Non-Western Contexts (2005).
