About this event

This two-day workshop in Auckland is designed to extend knowledge regarding sexuality and intimacy, to ensure you have the most productive way of conceptualising sexual problems and enhance your comfort and skills in dealing with issues of sexuality.

The course is designed for any health professional - nurses, doctors, psychologists, counsellors, psychotherapists and other allied health professionals with an interest in sexuality.

Throughout the two days you will:

· Explore the nature of sexuality and the dance of intimacy in relationships.

· Develop self- awareness as a sexual being and gain confidence to discuss sexual matters.

· Develop confidence in providing information on human sexuality and sexual problems.

· Develop frameworks for conceptualising sexual problems.

· Be able to outline best practice guidelines for assessment.

· Review evidence-based treatments for sexual difficulties.

CME points: 15.

There is a maximum of 20 participants on this course so please book early.

COVID GUIDELINES

By attending our event you are confirming that you do not present with any Covid-19 Symptoms and are not required to isolate by the NZ Government for any reason.

  • Guests will be required to scan in using the NZ Covid Tracer app.
  • Full vaccination is required for all guests aged 12 years and 3 months and older from 17th January 2022.
  • Guests will also be required to show their My Vaccine Pass upon arrival which will be scanned using the NZ Pass Verifier app. Please note, we cannot accept purple vaccination cards or vaccination confirmation letters as proof of your vaccination status.
  • Children under the age of 12 years and 3 months do not need to provide a My Vaccine Pass to enter places with a vaccination requirement.
  • At Covid-19 Framework RED level settings, guests must wear a face covering when indoors on any University of Auckland campus.
  • Hand sanitizer will be readily available, and we ask guests to wash their hands regularly.

Guests are asked to review the checklist below and are kindly asked to not attend the event if the answer to any of the following conditions is yes:

  • You are experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19 (cough, fever, shortness of breath, chills, loss of sense of taste or smell)
  • Within the past 48 hours you have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid-19.
  • You have arrived in New Zealand and still subject to MIQ/Home Quarantine requirements.

We also ask that if you develop symptoms within 48 hours of attending this event please get a Covid-19 test.
