About this Event

WTF is back! for a third year! Brace yourself for an evening of unconventional entertainment at WTF

Featuring a variety of entertainment, displays, and activities that will challenge and disrupt your perceptions of MOTAT. This provocative new event delves into science, technology, arts, culture, food, and entertainment with an eccentric twist, inspired by some of the more bizarre and unusual collection items of the Museum.

There will be live music, performance art, and more! This is an R18 event with food and alcohol available on site. Step outside your comfort zone and indulge your curiosity this November at MOTAT.

This event is restricted to persons aged 18 and over. Valid ID must be presented upon entry to the event. Content Warning: This event contains activations that involve nudity and disturbing content. All artists and collaborators involved in this event must be respected at all times. People who are seen to be harassing artists, staff or collaborators will be removed from the event.

Event Expectations

All artists and collaborators involved in this event must be respected at all times. People who are seen to be harassing artists and collaborators will be removed from the event.
Alcohol Policy:
The management and staff of MOTAT (MUSEUM OF TRANSPORT AND TECHNOLOGY) have a responsibility to provide an environment that is not only comfortable and welcoming, but where alcohol is served and consumed responsibly. Because of this, we have implemented the following Host Responsibility policy.
We provide and actively promote a good range of food available for sale during the licensed event.
We provide and actively promote a range of low-alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks, including your low-alcohol beer, fruit juices, soft drinks, tea and coffee.
Iced water is attractively presented and available free of charge at all times during the event.
It is against the law to serve alcohol to minors. If we are in doubt about your age, we will ask for identification. Acceptable forms of proof of age are a current photo driver’s licence, an 18+ Evidence of Age card or a current passport.
Customers who are visibly intoxicated will not be served alcohol will be given free water and access to food then will be asked to leave the premises and will be encouraged to take advantage of safe transport options.
Our policy is zero tolerance for aggressive, coercive or violent behaviour.
We promote a range of transport options to get you home safely. These include a display/signage displaying multiple local TAXI numbers and train our event staff to encourage the use public transport to the venue.
We encourage people to have a designated driver. We will make the driver’s job more attractive by providing an interesting range of alcohol-free drinks.
We make sure all of these services are well promoted - you won’t have to go looking for them.
We maintain a training and management policy to give our staff the skills and support they need to do their job responsibly.
Museum Expectations
Artefacts must not be touched, climbed on or interfered with in any way, please stay behind barriers
Running is not permitted in the museum grounds or buildings
MOTAT is a live museum and we insist that footwear must be worn at all times
Smoking is not permitted on MOTAT grounds, this includes e-cigarettes
The use of unapproved Alcohol or Drugs is not permitted at MOTAT. MOTAT retains the right to remove intoxicated people and or call the police if necessary.
Important Information
MOTAT reserves the right to cancel the event for any reason in the event that cancellation is necessary you will receive a full refund.
MOTAT may take videos and photographs during the event. By agreeing to these terms and conditions you grant MOTAT permission to use these digital images for marketing purposes.
In the event of the event selling out MOTAT will establish a waitlist through the ticket provider. Tickets will be released to the waitlist as they become available and the waitlisted person will be notified by email. If you don’t respond to the email within the stated time the ticket will be released to another waitlisted person.
Photographs taken may not be used for commercial purposes without express permission from MOTAT.
Health and Safety Policy
For first aid assistance during the event, please contact the event organizer or any MOTAT staff member
It is the responsibility of the MOTAT staff and hosts to know the site emergency procedures, locate the emergency exits and know where the fire extinguishers are.
A defibrillator is located in the staff lunch room
Please also be aware of the nearest emergency exits.
